Kathryn Wise, OTD, MHSc (Health Administration), OTR/L

Program Director and Associate Professor

Kathryn Wise OTD, MHSc (Health Administration), BHSc (OT), is an Occupational Therapist with a strong background in interprofessional leadership development and a passion for building technology awareness and innovation among health care professional. Dr. Kathryn Wise earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Waterloo, her BHSc (OT) from McMaster University, MHSc (Health Administration) from the University of Toronto and her Doctor in Occupational Therapy (OTD) from Boston University. 

Dr. Wise is passionate about creating new and effective learning experiences for health professionals and is passionate about interprofessional education. She has held a variety of management and leadership positions supporting interprofessional teams across the healthcare continuum including home care and hospitals. Her areas of research interest include leadership, healthcare management, health professional education, evidence-based practice, workplace wellness, curriculum design, online learning, technology and innovation, and international health care systems. Dr. Wise is a Board Member with the Women's Health Care Executives of the Bay Area, an active member and mentor for the California Association of Health Leaders (CAHL) - the local chapter of the American College of Health Executives (ACHE) and is a volunteer for the Occupational Therapy Association of California and the American Occupational Therapy Association.
